The 3D scanner for dental technology

Activity 101 is a high quality, optical 3D-Scanner for dental industry.

The 3D sensor inside Activity 101 is based on white-light projection of fringes. Measurement is based on a patented process that involves illuminating the surface of the measured object with a fringe pattern. A camera observes the illuminated object from the side. The surface shape of the object is calculated according to the resulting displacement of the fringes.

The cast model is fixed with a special model fixture.

At first, a prescan is carried out and a scan definition made by the user.

The optical scanner SCAN 3D acquires a series of 3D measurements from different directions automatically This Scanner has an intelligent Axes positioning unit, which allows a Measurement of a complete jaw without removing the model.

The mechanical system will perform measurements automatically under different viewing angles of the the object relative to the 3D sensor.

The measurements are assembled together by the scanner software.

By doing so, the Scanner supplies a 3- dimensional image of the model.The results are available in STL format and can be used for computerized design and productions of dental prosthesis, making the optical scanner Activity 101 an inevitable part of the dental CAD/CAM production chain.
